Welcome to the BMS!
The Bangkok Music Society supports the performance and appreciation of music in Thailand.
Membership attracts music lovers of all nationalities. The range of musical styles is wide, from the classics to jazz and musicals. We offer opportunities to attend or participate in regular in-house concerts and larger performances for public audience. Local artists are encouraged, and the BMS sponsors annual scholarships for young talented Thai musicians. Occasionally visiting artists are also able to perform with or for us here in Bangkok. Many of our events support Thai charities.
The BMS Choir rehearses weekly throughout the season on Wednesday evenings, again with a wide variety of music including performances of major choral works, opera, sacred and secular music, Broadway hits, through to international folk songs. New members are always welcome in all voice parts.
We also arrange informal musical evenings to provide instrumentalists among our members with opportunities to perform in solo works, duets, quartets etc.
